24 Machine status indicator/left Indicates the shutoff time when using Weekly Timer,
or the status of image controller. The shutoff time in-
dication has priority.
25 Time indicator Displays current time.
26 Function key area You can display up to five programs previously regis-
tered as function keys in this area.
27 Paper size indicator of the post inserter Displays the paper size, orientation and remaining
amount for each tray of
Large Capacity Post Insert-
er PI-PFU . Also displays the paper size and orienta-
tion specified in Normal Use Setting for the upper
tray/lower tray of the post inserter of the folding unit,
or the post inserter attached to the finisher. Does not
show the settings specified in Perfect Bind Cover Set-
ting.
28 [Auto Paper] Pressed to use the Auto Paper function. The key is
highlighted when Auto Paper is on.
29 Tray information indicator/Tray keys Tray information indicator:
Displays the paper size, orientation, weight, paper
name, and remaining amount of paper specified for
each tray (Tray Setting). If any setting change is made
in Paper Presetting, the changed information will be
displayed. The information specified in Tray Setting
will be restored when the reset function is activated.
Tray keys:
Pressed to select a tray.
30 [Paper Presetting] Pressed to set copy conditions in order to use paper
not specified to any tray.
31 Direction Keys Selects the direction of the original placed on ADF or
the original glass .
32 [Separate Scan] Pressed to temporarily store the scanned images in
memory.
33 Message area Displays messages concerning the status of the ma-
chine or operation currently required.
