For bleeding air, see “PROCEDURES FOR BLEEDING AIR FROM FUEL CIRCUIT”.
11. After air bleeding is completed, start the engine and run it at low idle for approximately 10 minutes.
12. Check the filter seal surface for fuel leakage.
If the fuel leaks, check according to the following procedure.
1) Check the fastening condition of the fuel filter cartridge.
2) If the fuel leaks, remove the fuel filter cartridge in step 2 to 4.
3) Check the packing surface for damage and pinching of foreign material.
If it has damage or pinching of foreign material, replace the fuel filter cartridge with a new one.
4) Install the fuel filter cartridge in step 5 to 10.
5) Check the filter seal surface for fuel leakage, and if the fuel leaks, check it again.
13. Close the engine rear cover (1).
METHOD FOR CHECKING AND CLEANING RADIATOR FINS, OIL COOLER FINS,
FUEL COOLER FINS, AND AIR CONDITIONER CONDENSER FINS

If the compressed air, high-pressure water, or steam hits your body directly or dirt is scattered by use of
it, there is a danger of personal injury.
Wear the protective equipment such as the protective eyeglasses and dust mask.
NOTICE
• When using compressed air for cleaning, blow it from some distance as perpendicular to the core
as possible to avoid damaging the fins. Damage on the fins can cause water leakage and overheat-
ing.
• In a dusty job site, check the fins every day, regardless of the maintenance interval.

Pull the engine rear cover (1) backward to open it.
Open the engine rear cover (1) fully and it is secured by
rod (2).

Pull the cooling cover (3) backward to open it.
Open the cooling cover (3) fully, and it is secured by rod
(4).
