Previous tasks

Make sure that the following preconditions are met:

Engine is running at idle speed.

Engine is secured in the idle speed operating mode.

Specific safety instructions

Not applicable.

Consumables and equipment

Not applicable.

Inspection

Observe the engine running at idle speed.

Record and report any defect found on the engine (for example: leak, unusual noise, unusual

vibration, unusual exhaust gas color).

Record and report any anomaly found on generator set display (for example: faulty param‐

eter).

Make sure that authorized service personnel correct the defect.

5.7.3 Testing engine in operation (ESP application only) — SL008

Previous tasks

Make sure that the following preconditions are met:

Operating test is planned and agreed with the responsible person for the electrical network.

Electrical load is available for the test.

Generator set is ready for operation.
