Preparing the PDA Detector 2800 for Operation
Power supply, ON/OFF
The PDA Detector 2800 can be operated at 115 or 230 V AC (50-
6
0 Hz).
The setting is done with the voltage selector on the instrument’s rear
panel. The standard setting is 230 V. The instrument can be switched off
from the main switch (on the back of the instrument) or the standby key.
Before using the instrument please check whether the setting of the
voltage selector fits with your local voltage.
Please note that the instrument is not completely switched off when
in standby-mode. Only with the main switch the instrument can be
completely switched off.
The detector’s position in a KNAUER Smartline system
Due to the general temperature sensitivity of detectors, the Smartline
PDA Detector 2800 should always be the first (lowest) instrument in a
Smartline system. The optionally available capillary kits for easy
installation will only fit if this rule is followed.
