Operation
BlueShadow Detector 50D Instructions V7659
Process
Figure
3.
Wait until the detector has completed the
calibration .
4.
After the calibration has been success-
fully completed, the most recently active
program will be displayed .
5.
The detector is now ready for operation .
5.3 Selecting a wavelength
To select a wavelength proceed as follows:
1.
Use the arrow keys to navigate the cursor in one of the two fields for
the wavelength .
2.
Enter the desired value using the numeric pad after activation via
confirmation button
or use the vertical arrow keys
.
3.
If only one wavelength is to be used, then a zero must be entered
in the unused field . This deactivates the corresponding detector
channel .
4.
Confirm entry by using the horizontal arrow keys
.
Note:
Two spectral edge filters to suppress the second diffraction order
are automatically activated, if the shortest wavelength in all active chan-
nels exceeds an internal default value . The activated filter is indicated by
the in front of the specification of the wavelength .
5.3.1 Options for signal output
You can configure the output of a measurement as follows:
1.
Position the cursor in one of the two fields for the signal output .
2.
Use the vertical arrow keys
to select one of the following
options:
Options
Explanation
„-“
The absorbtion value is inverted .
„1/2“
The absorbtion of channel 1 is divided by the absorbtion of
channel 2 .
„2/1“
The absorbtion of channel 2 is divided by the absorbtion of
channel 1 .
The absorption ratio of the measurement can thus be generated to check
the chromatographic separation quality at two wavelengths . The ratio
values are displayed by the symbols 1/2 or 2/1 at the decimal point of the
absorption value .
