MANUAL PLUG-IN SYSTEM
The manual plug-in system is of the constant-
flow type (Figure 17-2). Each mask plug is
equipped with its own regulating orif ice. The
pilot and copilot oxygen masks are quick-
donning oxygen masks and are connected to
the oxygen supply lines at all times (Figure
17-3). When the diluter demand masks are
not in use, one hangs from a bracket (on the
stub par tition) behind the pilot’s head and
one hangs from a bracket behind the copi-
lot’s head.
Passenger masks are kept in seatback pock-
e t s e x c e p t i n t h e c o u c h i n s t a l l a t i o n , i n
which case they are stored under the couch.

f o r w a r d a n d a f t e n d s o f t h e c a b i n . A l l
masks are easily plugged in by pushing the
o r i f i c e i n f i r m ly a n d t u r n i n g c l o c k w i s e
a p p r ox i m a t e ly o n e - q u a r t e r t u r n . U n p l u g -
g i n g i s e a s i ly a c c o m p l i s h e d by r eve r s i n g
t h e m o t i o n .
