Synchronizing the date and time in a fire network
This option allows the date and time to be synchronized for all control panels in a
fire network.
To synchronize the date and time in a fire network:
1. Select Panel setup from the main menu
2. Select Date and time and then select Firenet time sync
3. Select YES to synchronize the date and time
4. Press F2 (Exit)
5. Press F2 (Exit) to exit the menu
Day/Night mode
Note:
This option is not available on repeater panels.
This option is only available if configured during installation of your fire system.
This mode allows your fire alarm system to automatically change selected fire
detection and response criteria based on preconfigured time settings, as shown
below.
Mode LCD icon Description
Day In this mode an automatic fire alarm (an alarm activated by a
detector) will activate sounders and fire routing (if enabled) after
any configured delay. Subject to configuration, detectors may
use a reduced sensitivity setting.
Night In this mode an automatic fire alarm (an alarm activated by a
detector) will activate sounders and fire routing (if enabled)
immediately and will bypass any configured delay. Subject to
configuration, detectors may use an increased sensitivity setting.
The LCD icon confirming the current mode is displayed on the LCD (see “LCD
controls and indicators” on page 6).
To change the day/night mode start time settings:
1. Select Panel setup from the main menu
2. Select Day/Night mode
3. Enter the start time for day mode using the hh:mm format (for example,
08:00)
4. Enter the start time for night mode using the hh:mm format (for example,
21:00)
5. Press F4 (Enter) and then press F2 (Exit)
6. Press F1 (Keep), F3 (Apply), F4 (Discard), or F2 (Exit)
