Configuration controls
Use the function buttons F1 to F4 and the jog dial (see Figure 2 on page 6) to
navigate the LCD menu, select menu options, and to enter passwords and
system information, as shown below.
Entering passwords and
system information
Turn the jog dial clockwise or anticlockwise to enter passwords
and other system information. Press the jog dial to confirm an
entry.
Selecting soft keys from the
LCD menu Press the function buttons F1 to F4 to select the corresponding
menu options (Main menu, Logout, Exit etc.).
Navigating and confirming
menu selections Turn the jog dial clockwise or anticlockwise to select an option
from the on-screen menu. Press the jog dial to confirm the
selection.
The control panel ID on the LCD is white text with a dark background when the
jog dial is active (the control panel is waiting for input).
Configuration control options
To assist configuration control revision, the options listed below are available
when making configuration changes to the control panel.
The control panel configuration (and configuration revision) is only updated when
configuration changes are applied by pressing F3 (Apply).
The configuration revision change and timestamp are recorded in the Revision
report and can be accessed at Operator, Maintenance, and Installer user levels.
The following options are presented when changes are requested to a
configuration:
Option Description
Keep (F1) Select this option to keep the current configuration change without
applying it immediately.
Apply (F3) Select this option to apply the current configuration change and all stored
(kept) configuration changes. The control panel will reset automatically.
Discard (F4) Select this option to discard all stored (kept) configuration changes that
have not been applied.
Exit (F2) Select this option to exit the configuration process without storing or
applying the current configuration change.
Note:
When updating the configuration of multiple devices, we recommend that
you choose F1 (Keep) and then apply all changes when the final device
configuration is updated.
