Trace
Average Dura.
On Off
Initiates a digital averaging routine that averages the trace
points in an average duration resulting in trace “smoothing”.
Increasing the average duration will further smooth the
trace.
The average is restarted when any of the following occurs:
• A new average duration is entered.
• Any related parameter (e.g., center frequency) is changed.
•
{Avg Restart}
is pressed

to turn off averaging.

Trace Math
This softkey provides a submenu for the traces operation.

Variable A, B, C
Press those softkeys to select a trace (for
variable A,B, and C) or a display line (for variable A and B)
for the trace calculation.
A-B-> C
Turn this softkey on to calculate variable A minus
variable B. The result will display as variable C when all the
variables is set to on. This function and
A+B->C
can not be
set to on simultaneously.
A+B-> C
Turn this softkey on to calculate variable A plus
variable B. The result will display as variable C when all the
variables is set to on. This function and
A-B->C
can not be
set to on simultaneously.
Math By
This softkey toggles the caculation type between
power and logarithmic power. When it is set to
power
, the
variable A and B will be calculated in power and the result
variable C will display in converted logarithmic power. When
it is set to
log power
, the variable A and B will be calculated
in lograithmic power and the result variable C will display
in logarithmic power.
