11.3 - Blood pressure errors
Number
Meaning
1
It is necessary to inflate over 300 mmHg to measure the blood pressure.
2
It was not possible to inflate the cuff. Possible puncture in the cuff.
3
Deflated up to 60mmHg without detecting impulsions.
4
Before having recorded 15 impulsions, no more were detected.
5
Found the diastolic with less then 15 impulsions.
6
Systolic < Diastolic (calculation or measuring error).
7
Too sudden pressure changement.
8
The red button has been pressed.
9
There is no wrist in the cuf (no impulsions detected).
10
More than 3 false impulsions have been detected (user has moved).
11
Average blood pressure is over 250 mmHg.
12
Systolic detected at the first impulsion.
13
There are no similar impulsions to the biggest one.
14
Error in the calculation of lineal interpolation.
15
Error in the calculation of parabolic interpolation.
16
The difference between systolic and diastolic is less than 10 mmHg.
17
The air escapement cannot be controlled by the valve. There is a leakage in the neumatic system
(valve, tubes & cuff).
