Press the MENU button to display the TOP MENU screen.

Use the SELECT dial to select NETWORK PACK CONFIG
menu screen

MOVIE CLIP SETUP menu screen.
3.
Set FORMAT in the MOVIE CLIP SETUP menu screen to “EX-
ECUTE” and press the SELECT dial.
• The formatting begins. During formatting, “FORMAT” appears
on the screen.
4.
When formatting is completed, to the MOVIE CLIP SETUP
menu screen returns.
The FORMAT setting will return to CANCEL.
5.
To return to the NETWORK PACK CONFIG menu screen, se-
lect PAGE BACK and press the SELECT dial.
• To return to the normal screen, press the MENU button.
If the CF card is unformatted when performing any of the operations shown below, “NO CF FORMAT” will appear in the
LCD screen/viewfinder screen.

• If the unit enters MOVIE CLIP by
operating the menu or the REC
START/STOP button during
formatting CF card, a display of
the LCD viewer can go wrong.
However, if you operate the menu

regain a normal display.

• Before using a CF card, be sure to format the CF card by the KA-DV350 or
the Windows system.

However, the card is not compatible with the NTFS. When formatting it
by the Windows system, you can do so by the systems other than the
NTFS.

Note that when the CF card is formatted, all the contents of the card will
be completely erased.

Turn on the GY-DV300 power.
Check to see that the

display appears on the LCD screen/
viewfinder screen. (When the power is turned on,
display
will flash during initialization.)
2.
Set the MODE switch to “CAM-A” or “CAM-B”.
3.
Set the NETWORK PACK CONFIG menu screen.
• Set MPEG REC to “SPLIT”.
• Set the video/audio compression in the ENCODE SETUP
menu screen. (

• When completed with settings, press the MENU button to
return to the normal screen.
4.
Press the SELECT dial on GY-DV300 to start recording stream-
ing data on the CF card.
• During recording,

display will light red.
• To stop recording, press the SELECT dial.
• To resume recording, press the SELECT dial once more.
5.
To end recording, press the SELECT dial.
* Before turning off the power, check to make sure the
C F
indicator on the LCD screen is white.
• “NO CF FORMAT!” will appear if
the inserted CF card is not
formatted. Format the card in the
MOVIE CLIP SET menu screen.

• When recording only to the CF card, the clip list will not be registered.
• The CF card remaining warning is displayed on the LCD screen/
viewfinder screen. (

• Pressing the REC START/STOP button of GY-DV300 will start recording
to the DV cassette tape.
• When using the SELECT dial for GAIN or SHUTTER operation, no
operation on the SELECT dial will be accepted for about 3 seconds after
the operation is completed.
• Do not switch over the CAM/VTR mode during recording into the CF card.
If the mode is switched over during recording, the display of the LCD
viewer can go wrong once in a while. Also, if the mode is switched over
immediately after the start of recording into the CF card, some black
images can be mixed into a recorded picture.
