Main Features
Supports 4K high-definition recording,
realizing more advanced Full HD
recording quality
Recording and playback at 30p/25p/24p are
possible in 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels),
which contains information that is about four times
larger than Full HD. And in addition to recording at
150 Mbps for 4K shooting with H.264 codec, this
camera recorder also supports a recording mode
of 70 Mbps. Videos can also be recorded in Class
10 SDHC/SDXC memory cards.
In addition to the 50 Mbps 4:2:2 color sampling
recording in conventional HD shooting, the camera
recorder also supports 4:2:2 recording mode in 4K
30p/25p/24p
n
, thus achieving even finer color
representation.
F1.2, 29.6 mm wide-angle, 12x optical
zoom lens
The 12x optical zoom supports zooming from 29.6
mm at the wide-angle end, and dynamic zoom up
to 24x with the use of a high-resolution sensor
(during HD/SD recording), allowing the faces of
distant portrait subjects to be captured.
High-performance CMOS sensor with a
sensitivity of F5.6
This camera recorder is built in with a high-
performance 1/2.3-inch (effective pixels of 9.03
megapixels, 1/2.5-inch) CMOS sensor with a
resolution of 12.4 megapixels, achieving a
significantly enhanced sensitivity of F5.6 with the
high-definition and advanced noise-reduction
technology. You can produce recordings with
excellent gradation even when shooting in a low-
light scene or at a location where lighting cannot be
used.
JVC image processor “FALCONBRID II”
The image processor employed supports both 4K
codec developed by JVC and simultaneous dual
stream encoding, achieving a high image quality
that maximizes the potential of next-generation
high-resolution sensors.
Enhanced network functions
n
This camera recorder can be operated from
network devices such as PC and tablet during 4K
shooting.
The RTMP protocol supports video and audio
streaming via the network during HD/SD shooting,
YouTube Live and Facebook Live. In addition, the
camera recorder also supports “SMPTE 2022-1”,
which allows high-definition data transmission
easily at low cost, and “Zixi”, a cloud service that
enables highly-reliable and stable data
transmission.
Broadcast Overlay
n
Station name, program name, or news title
according to the recorded content can be entered
easily by using a smartphone or tablet, and this
information can be superimposed on the recording
clip or streaming images. The color of the text bar
can be selected from several pre-installed colors
and you can even customize to your preferred
image using a free PC application.
Full Screen Graphic Function
n
Announcement and advertising images can be
superimposed on the shooting screen for live
distribution and for recording onto an SD card. Up
to 50 image files can be saved in the camera
recorder and they can also be used as a slide show.
Zero Config Function
n
The camera recorder can be automatically
detected using the Streamstar X series from
Streamstar connected to the same LAN, making it
easier to connect multiple units.
Control from RM-LP100
n
This camera recorder can be controlled by using a
remote camera controller RM-LP100. Control from
external devices is indicated as a tally display on
the LCD and VF.
Color Matrix Adjustment Function
With the detailed settings of the Color Matrix
Adjustment, when shooting is performed using
multiple cameras, colors in different cameras can
be adjusted, and a color of the user’s preference
can be set on this camera recorder.
The “Setup Files” saved on the SD card can also
be used to enable the same setup status for other
GY-HM250/GY-HM180.
High Luminance Priority Mode
n
Equipped with a high luminance priority recording
mode that reduces overexposure of brightly lit
images. By making the brightly lit areas high
contrast, the images will appear more natural.
Equipped with Histogram Function to
Check the Brightness of the Subject and
Assist in Determining Exposure Level
Allows users to check the overall trend of the
exposure level on a histogram and assists in
preventing overexposure and blocked-up
shadows.
High-Speed Recording Function
A moving subject can be effectively portrayed by
shooting smooth slow motion images.
