Troubleshooting
This chapter is designed to help the user identify and rectify basic faults or the results
of incorrect operation. When locating a fault, proceed in the order shown in the table.

Starter does
not turn
– Travel direction switch
not in neutral
– Battery charge too low
– Battery terminal cable
loose or terminals
oxidized.
– Starter cable loose or
broken
– Starter magnetic switch
jammed
– Turn travel direction switch to neutral
(see Neutral Interlock in this chapter)
– Check battery charge, charge battery if
necessary
– Clean and grease terminals, tighten
battery terminal cable
– Check starter cable, tighten or replace
as required
– Check if the magnetic switch audibly
engages
Engine does
not start
– Air filter contaminated
– Bowden cable faulty or
hanging
Additional for
LPG
– LPG bottle shutoff valve
closed
– LPG bottle empty
– Ignition distributor cap
damp
– Spark plugs damp, oily
or loose
– Spark plugs faulty
Additional for diesel
– Fuel tank empty,
injection system has
suctioned in air
– Water in fuel system
– Fuel filter contaminated
– Paraffin separation from
the diesel (flakes
forming)
– Clean / replace air filter
– Check Bowden cable
– Shutoff valve open
– Replace the LPG bottle
– Ignition distributor cap dry, if
necessary apply contact spray
– Dry, clean and tighten spark plugs
– Replace spark plugs
– Fill up with diesel and bleed the
injection system
– Drain the fuel system
Fill up the truck
Bleed the fuel system
– Check the flow of fuel, if necessary
replace the fuel filter
– Park the truck in a warm room and wait
until the separation has returned to its
original state.
Replace the fuel filter if necessary
Add winter diesel fuel
