Network
Set up VLAN (port-based)
VLANs allow you to set up logical subnetworks within a network structure. The data of a
subnetwork are not automatically forwarded to another VLAN. The switches in the network
must support this function (VLAN according to IEEE 802.3q).
•
Click on the
Network
tab.
•
Click the
Create interface
command button.
•
Enter the name of the new interface – e. g. VLAN01.

This name / ID must be identical for all devices within the same VLAN!
•
Select a protocol (see figure on the right) for the new interface.
- With
static address assignment (recommended),
a detailing is required after
the interface has been created (see following figure).
•
Create a network bridge by ticking there (X).
Only if the network bridge is set up, several interfaces can be selected / covered in
the following field.
•
Set the designation (W) of the custom interface.
•
Click the
Submit
command button to save the settings.
- Then the newly generated interface (here VLAN01) becomes visible in the register
Network
and can be specified further.
