6. HOW TO ADJUST THE THREAD TENSION

Adjusting needle thread tension

First, adjust the right- and left-hands bobbin

thread tenson.

Then n accordance wth the bobbn thread

tension obtained, adjust the right- and
left-hand sides needle threads tension

approprately by turnng thread tenson

adjustments nuts

and

respectvely.

Turnng the nuts clockwse wll ncrease
the thread tenson or turnng them
counterclockwse to decrease t.

Adjusting bobbin thread tension

Turn bobbin thread tension adjustment screw

clockwse to ncrease the bobbn thread
tenson or turn the screw counterclockwse to
decrease t.

As shown in the left-hand figure, standard

bobbn thread tenson s 0.25 to 0.35N when
measurng wth the tenson gauge.
