MONITOR
UTILITY FUNCTIONS
COPY – COPY THE CURRENTLY SELECTED MODEL TO ANOTHER MODEL MEMORY
A-48
A-49
The Monitor function displays each channel and shows
the movement of channels when sticks, levers and
switches are moved. It renames channels according
to special assignments to assist in identifying what is
moving. For instance, when Flaperon is the wing type, the
Monitor display
RAIL
for right Aileron and
LAIL
for left
Aileron instead of displaying channel 2 and channel 6.
It is a handy way to determine what channels are mixed
with other channels and to verify programming when the
aircraft is not at hand. The Monitor function also displays
the current value of all digital trims
1. To access the Monitor function, highlight and
select
MONITOR
in the
FUNC.LIST
to obtain
the Monitor display.
2. The default display shows the settings of all channel
positions and shows
MONI
in the upper left hand
corner of the screen. To view the Monitor display of the
digital trim positions, highlight and select
TRIM
. View
the display while moving sticks, switches and levers to
see the movements of various channels.
The
Copy
function is part of the
Model SEL
function
described earlier and allows you to copy the current
model memory into another model memory in the same
transmitter. You cannot use it to transfer the model to
another transmitter – the
TRANSFER
function provides
for these activities.
The Copy function is very valuable because it can provide
some insurance against losing programs (aircraft setups)
that may have been time-consuming to create. You should
use the Copy function to make a backup copy of the
model memory for safekeeping after completing, testing
and refining a model’s programming.
Making a backup copy of the model memory protects
against losing the original program. You can also
experiment with your original program since you can
restore the original settings by copying the backup copy
back to the original model memory.
1. Select the model to copy – see
Model SEL
description on page A-2.
The X9503 2.4 System includes two utility functions to
help with managing the settings programmed into the
X9503 2.4 model memories. These functions include
Copy and TRANSFER, both of which are located in the
SYSTEM Menu. The Copy function is part of the Model
SEL function while the TRANSFER function has its own
set of displays.
