MENU 04 - PROBE SETTING
Is used to set the type of probe you intend to use. Press key 2 to access the pages of the relevant sub-menu.
Set the type of probe “THERMOSTAT” if you intend to use it as a thermostat to control the boiler.
If you use a commercial thermostat it is absolutely necessary to use the device with a dry contact closure to the boiler.
The Jolly Mec module is also considered a thermostat, so when using the original Jolly-Mec device, set THERMOSTAT as the type of
probe.
Set the type of probe “PROBE”, if you intend to use it as a probe installed on the boiler; otherwise remote the same type of probe in
another room. In the latter case it is necessary to disconnect the probe from the circuit board located inside the boiler (activity pertaining
to the CAT).
MENU 05 - SET STAND-BY
The STAND-BY function consents to switch off the boiler when the room or the water temperature requests in the set scheme are fulfilled.
The boiler in STAND-BY (as shown on the display) is waiting to receive requests from thermostats or from the storage tank to restart an
ignition cycle. The T time offset (DELAY), settable from the Menu M05-003, delays the switching off compared to the T time since when
the requests are met.
If the MENU 04 was set through the “PROBE” sensor type, the boiler will actually shut down after running at economy speed for a
period equal to the DELAY OFF time ever when the requests are matched, but if you set the probe type on THERMOSTAT, the time in
ECONOMY work is doubled compared to the value of DELAY OFF set.
