Clearing a Failed Drive Status
It is possible to clear a failed drive status; however, you need to be aware of the
inherent risk and use this option cautiously.
It is recommended, that the failed drive to be cleared is not part of an array,
unconfigured (see
) before you clear the failed status. However, please
note that there is a risk when clearing a failed drive. For example, if the failed
drive is actually damaged, and the failed status is cleared, when you try to use that
drive in a new configuration, it may cause problems.

If needed, you can clear a failed status by following these directions: Right-click
on the marked failed drive in the Physical Elements Panel to see the drop menu
and click on Clear Failed Status (see
