The following fields are explained for the Controller Configuration Port Editor
Window.
Status
Normal or Offline
Controller AUID
Controller AUID that owns this port.
Controller ID
0 or 1: Controller 0 = 0; Controller 1 = 1;
Port Number
Often numbered relative to either logical
modules or a network element as either Port 0
or 1. Port 0 = 0; Port 1=1.
Network Address
An array of strings to identify the network
address, the last six (6) bytes of the Permanent
Address field. CIM Network address. FCID
(InfiniBand: LIDs) and FC-FS Address
Identifier.
Link Technology
Fibre Channel 4Gbit - this is the interface link
type.
Link Speed
1Gb, 2Gb, 4Gb, unknown (actual or system
negotiated)
Loop ID
Same as Link ID. Values: 0-0x7E = Valid or
Link/Loop is up. 0xFF = Invalid or Link/Loop
is down.
Port Mode
Automatic, Point-to-Point, or Arbitrated Loop
(commonly called Loop)

Fibre Channel with 4Gbit
Link Speed
A speed of either 1, 2, or 4Gbit is preset. The speed of data
transfer.
Port Mode

Arbitrated Loop
The user cannot change the Port Mode.
The system will use the default value.
The data transfer moves from a start point to the destination
point and then stops; not a loop.
Commonly called a Loop; data transfer travels in a
continuous path that makes a loop, not a straight line of
direction.
