Test Port

Port used for the test.

N/A

appears when an RTU port

is idle.

Framing

or

FRM

Default framing mode for the idle condition when the
RTU is not in use.

Tx Level

Transmitted signal level.

Timing

Source

Timing source for the current test. If the RTU does not
follow the timing source selected in the RTU configu-
ration, the field appears as white text on black back-
ground. Possible values are as follows:

INTERNAL

Internal timing selected.

–

EXTERNAL

External timing selected.

–

RECOVERED

or

REC

Recovered timing selected, or

split is set for local loopback.

Idle Cond

Pattern transmitted when the RTU is not in use. Possi-
ble values are as follows:

111 (All Ones)

DCS keepalive pattern is trans-

mitted with the default framing.

x1C (Hexadecimal)

x1C pattern is transmitted.

LLB (Local Loopback)

Regenerated receive

signal is transmitted through the RTU.

Transmits a DCS keep-alive pat-

tern with the default framing.

Retransmits received data to the transmit
