Descriptions of supervisory commands

CT-650 Command-Line Reference Guide

Release 9.4

Configuring DTU

RTUs

The following parameters appear in the RTU configuration screen for
DTU test cards:

Idle Condition

Pattern transmitted when the RTU is not in use. Possible values are as
follows:

–

111 (All Ones)

DCS keepalive pattern is transmitted with the

default framing.

–

x1C (Hexadecimal)

x1C pattern is transmitted.

–

LLB (Local Loopback)

Regenerated receive signal is transmit-

ted through the RTU.

–

1100 (IDLE)

Transmits a DCS keep-alive pattern with the default

framing.

–

THRU

Retransmits received data to the transmit lines.

TX Level

The transmit signal level. If

EXTERNAL (M13 MUX)

is selected for Sig-

nal Source, this field defaults to

N/A

RX Level

The receive signal level. If

EXTERNAL (M13 MUX)

is selected for Signal

Source, this field defaults to

N/A

Timing Source

The timing source for test card transmitters. If the Idle Condition is set to

LOCAL LOOPBACK

and an idle condition occurs, this field defaults to

RECOVERED. If

EXTERNAL (M13 MUX)

is selected for Signal Source,

this field defaults to

RECOVERED

Slip Clock Ref

The reference clock for measuring timing slips. If

EXTERNAL (M13

MUX)

is selected for Signal Source, this field defaults to
