8.3 SAFETy THERMOSTATS
Filling the tank in the incorrect manner, with the red switch S turned on at 1
and without any water, causes the safety thermostats in the machine to trip
and stop the water from heating.
You need to reset the safety thermostats in order to restart the heating
cycles.
1) Turn off the machine at the green main switch G (to 0) and at the red switch
S (to 0), and also unplug the power cable C (Fig. 20).
2) Put on protective gloves to avoid cutting yourself on the metal sheeting
and open the casing on the machine.
3) Reset the safety thermostat on the hot water tank by pressing the button
at the centre (TOP and IN models) (Fig. 23).
4) In the case of TOP models, you also need to reset the safety thermostat
on the post-heating element; press the button shown in Fig. 22.
5) Check incorrect heating has not affected the seals of the fittings for the
hot water circuit: to do so, re-start the machine, circulate hot water and
check for any dripping (be careful with the high voltage contacts when the
machine is uncovered)
6) Put the casing back on the machine and restart the machine at switch G,
but do not turn on the red switch S (leave at 0).
7) Turn on the hot water at a constant flow then turn on the red switch S.
8) The heating and hot water production cycles should start again, confirming
the safety thermostats have been correctly reset.
