TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION! Turn off the engine and wait until the machine stops completely before
investigating fault.
Conventional trouble Trouble reason Remedy
The engine does not start
∙
The On/Off switch (12) is in the
“0” position
∙
Put it to “I” position
∙ There is no fuel mixture in the
tank
∙ Fill it up
∙
There is dirt or water in the fuel
tank
∙
Clean it
∙ The spark plug (25) does not
spark: it is dirty, worn or defective
∙ Clean or replace it
The engine starts then stops
∙ Excessive load on the cutting
tool
∙ Reduce the load
∙ The spark plug (25) is damaged ∙ Replace it
∙
A mixture of gasoline-oil has not
been used and serious damage has
been provoked to the engine

Take the machine to an

If the problem cannot be remedied on the basis of the information above, please take the device to an authorized
IVT Service Center.
ATTENTION! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE PRODUCT BY YOURSELF AND DO NOT
TAMPER WITH IT! Any operation of repairing or extraordinary maintenance must be carried
out only by a qualified and authorized IVT Service Center. Do not try to modify any internal
part of the product! THIS WILL COMPLETELY VOID THE WARRANTY AND IT COULD CAUSE
SERIOUS INJURY AND DAMAGE.
