6.2 Power off
Power off can be executed as follow:
•
Execute the shut down command (WinXP).
•
Switch off the power input.
Caution
We recommend executing and terminating proper shut down
procedure before switching off the power input otherwise data may be
lost.
After the power input is switched off you must wait about 15 seconds before
switch it on again otherwise the computer could not restart.
Time is needed to allows 5Vsb capacitors discharge.
6.3 Power button
The power button (soft power) is available on the I/O panel. A stylus or similar is
needed to push the button.
Pressing the button switches the system between ON and Soft OFF, depending
on the BIOS or OS settings.
If the computer is Soft Off condition pressing the button switches the system ON.
6.4 BIOS setup
Some configuration settings are stored in a battery backed-up static RAM as part
of the BIOS setup.
Notice
We recommend you keep a note of the Setup settings. You will need
to reset some settings if the battery that provides power for the CMOS
RAM will get exhausted.
To enter Bios Setup you need a keyboard.
Read carefully the motherboard user’s manual before to attempt to
change BIOS Setup.
The Panel PC is provided with BIOS setup setting for manufacturer tests.
If operating system is installed by user refer to the pertinent documentation.
