Why Does My FotoShow
™
Image Center Automatically Eject a Zip Disk
as Soon as I Insert It?
There are several things that might cause your FotoShow
™
Digital Image Center to eject
your Zip
®
disks.
1.If the Zip
®
disk you are using was formatted on a Macintosh
®
, it may be a Mac
®
-
formatted disk. See the instructions on formatting disks on a Macintosh for use
with the FotoShow Image Center on page 50.
2. If the Zip
®
disk is read/write protected, you will need to follow the instructions for
unprotecting the disk on page 51.
3.The FotoShow
™
Image Center will sometimes eject disks when it is in direct
sunlight. Move your FotoShow Image Center out of the sunlight.
4.The Zip
®
disk may be damaged.
What are the “Zip” folder and “All My Photos?”
There are two “system folders” that provide a basic part of the FotoShow
™
software
structure. These are vital components of the software, so you should be aware of what
they do when you see them.
•
All My Photos
contains all the photos you have saved to the current Zip
®
disk. You
can view the photos in the All My Photos album, but you cannot change them in any
way. This is where your viewable digital negatives are stored.
•
Zip
is the Root folder; it contains all the images you have saved to the Root folder
while using your Zip
®
disk with a computer.
How Do I Delete Photos from “All My Photos?”
The photos in “All My Photos” actually can be deleted, just not directly from All My
Photos. Use the
Delete Photos tool
in the Album room to delete your photos. You can
delete a specific photo, a group of photos, or an entire album.
Of course, the best way to keep unwanted photos off your Zip
®
disk is to screen them
out beforehand. Use the
Select Photos
option when you are copying photos onto the
disk from your digital media.
Why Doesn’t the FotoShow
™
Image Center Respond When I Press the
Buttons on the Remote Control?
There could be a number of reasons. First, check to make sure the FotoShow
™
Digital
Image Center is connected to your television and an appropriate power source, according
to the directions in this manual. Second, make sure the remote control contains two AAA
batteries in correct alignment. Third, be sure you are using the remote control within the
prescribed distance and pointing it towards the FotoShow Image Center.
