Blom-Singer® Indwelling Valved/Plug Insert
The Plug Insert must not be used in conjunction with the Blom-
Singer Adjustable Tracheostoma Valve (ATSV).
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
InHealth relies on the qualified, trained medical professional to
instruct patients on the use and care of this device and to provide
patients with the Blom-Singer instructions for use supplied with
the product.
Should the device show signs of malfunction, contact your
physician/clinician as soon as possible to have the device
performance evaluated.
If there are tears, cracks, or structural damage to the device,
discontinue use.
Changes in your anatomy or medical status may lead to improper
fitting and/or function of the device. It is recommended that your
voice prosthesis and TEP be evaluated by your clinician at regular
intervals.
These Indwelling accessory devices are designed for temporary
use only and are not intended to replace the Indwelling voice
prosthesis. After placement of the device, contact your physician/
clinician as soon as possible.
Do not detach or in any way modify the neck strap on the
Indwelling Valved Insert or Plug Insert.
Do not use solvents or petroleum-based products for cleaning or
lubricating the device. These materials may damage silicone or
cause the device to not work properly.
Never insert any cleaning device while the Indwelling Valved
Insert or Plug Insert is in position in the neck. Always clean the
device after it has been removed.
Never use facial or toilet tissue to dry this Indwelling accessory
device as particles of lint or fabric may be deposited onto the
device that can be inhaled into the airway upon reinsertion.
The Blom-Singer Adjustable Tracheostoma Valve (ATSV) must
not be used when the Indwelling Valved Insert or Plug Insert is
placed within the voice prosthesis. Use of the ATSV in conjunction
with these Indwelling accessory devices may result in accidental
