Milling machine
5.1.1
Countries with 100 - 115 V mains volt-
age
The machine is preset for a mains voltage of
230 V. When the mains voltage at the set-up loca-
tion is 100 - 115 V:
▷
Pull out the fuse compartment ([8] in Fig. 3 on
page 33) below the mains plug.
▷
Replace both T3.15 A fuses with the provided
T6.3 A fuses.
5.1.2
Setting up the milling machine
_
The machine is intended exclusively for use
within dry, closed rooms.
_
A clearance of at least 200 mm is to be
observed sidewards, to the rear and upwards.
Minimum space requirements for the milling
machine (incl. connections):
▪
Width: 1040 mm
▪
Depth: 670 mm
▪
Height: 750 mm
_
The empty weight of the machine is 70 kg. The
set-up surface must withstand an appropriate
load.
_
During operation, the room temperature must
be between 18
°C
and 30
°C
; avoid large varia-
tions in temperature.
▷
Set up the machine on a sturdy work table or
work bench (off the ground and clear of walls).
▷
Adjust the height of the machine by screwing
the feet in or out, ensuring that the machine is
positioned firmly on all four feet.
▷
-Connect the machine to the power supply con-
nection ([7] in figure 3) using the original mains
cable (delivery scope).
When the machine is being connected via the USB
interface ([3] in figure 3):
▷
Only use the USB cable from the delivery scope.
▷
Directly connect the cable to a USB port of the
PC.
When using a USB switch/hub, the function of
the machine will not be sufficiently ensured.
5.2
Setting up the supply unit
Set up the supply unit below the work table/bench
of the milling machine.
In order for the C/L drain pipe to be mounted, the
table must be set up with a certain clearance to
the wall (see set-up instructions).
▷
Fill coolant/lubricant into the C/L container (see
section 7.4 on page 44).
▷
Connect the C/L supply line to the milling
machine and the supply unit.
▷
Plug the C/L drain pipe together and connect it
to the milling machine and the supply unit (see
set-up instructions).
▷
Set up the C/L container.
5.3
Service unit
The Jäger spindle is equipped with a sealing-air
feature. This sealing air prevents shavings/chips
and dust from entering the spindle. The service
unit filters possible contamination in the sealing
air and thus prevents costly machine damage.
