Appendix C: Unit Software Update
The Diana Peristaltic Pump has the ability to update various parts of the system via software updates.
This tool can update the following parts of the system:
Software/Database
Description
System update
The System Update controls the user interface and other aspects of the system.
Incremental features or software improvements released by ICU Medical can be
added by updating this software.
FDA Database
The FDA Database update allows a user to load the latest drug information database
onto the peristaltic pump. This ensures that most of Drug ID codes found in the
pharmacy will be recognized by the system.
Drug Database
The Drug Database update allows a user to mass load information for a given drug,
such as specific gravity and minimum or maximum volume transfers. This provides a
technician the ability to make large scale changes to the drug database without
having to change each individual drug.
Note:
Tool is designed to be used only by ICU Medical trained personnel or other qualified technicians.

Updating the Software
Note:
These steps are for ICU Medical personnel only.
First, ensure that an update file can be found on the USB data stick, it will be located in the folder
named “drp / update” Plug in the USB data stick into a computer and verify the contents of the data
stick contain the drp/update file.

Press the power button on the Diana Peristaltic Pump and wait for the unit to power on.
