5. Disconnect the front USB connector assembly cable from the system board.
6. From the outside of the chassis, press the two tabs on the front USB connector
assembly and squeeze gently; then, push the assembly toward the inside of the
chassis and remove it.
To install the front USB connector assembly, reverse the previous steps, snapping
the front USB connector assembly into place.
Front audio/1394 card assembly
Note: Read “Installation guidelines” on page 35 and the safety notices at “Safety
information” on page 117.
Complete the following steps to remove the front audio/1394 card assembly:
1. Turn off the computer and attached devices; then, disconnect all power cords
and external cables.
2. Remove the cover and the support bracket (see“Removing the side cover” on
page 39 and “Removing and installing the support bracket” on page 42).
3. Remove the front bezel (see “Front bezel” on page 40).
4. Rotate the drive cage up and remove any hard disk drives it contains (see
“Installing a hard disk drive in bay 4, 5, or 6” on page 52).
5. Disengage the front audio/1394 card assembly cables from the system board.
6. Insert a long-bladed screwdriver through the empty drive cage and loosen the
two screws that secure the front audio/1394 card assembly to the chassis.
