Chapter 16. Working With Configuration Settings

The following sections describe how to:

Save your configuration settings and logoff from the configuration console

Revert to previously saved configuration settings

Display the current configuration settings

Modify the current configuration settings.

Saving Configuration Settings and Logging Off

Use the SAVE command to save the last configuration changes made to module-specific parameters and
to any of the following workgroup switch parameters:

Alert

Community

Device

LAN_emul

Module_port

Static_route

Terminal

TFTP.

When you make changes with the SET command, they are activated immediately but are not saved
permanently. You must use the SAVE command in order to permanently store the new parameter
values. When the workgroup switch is reset, only the parameter values that have been permanently
saved are loaded.

By entering the SAVE ALL command, you save the last configuration changes made to all ATM
parameters:
