2 Mbps mode
The LED above each host RJ connector lights when the port operates in
2 Mbps mode. You can use these LEDs to debug network problems and to
ensure that your attached devices are running in 2 Mbps mode. If any device
on the port is not using 2 Mbps mode, the port operates in 1 Mbps mode.
Off
At least one device is not capable of running in 2 Mbps
mode. The host WSC might not be capable of 2 Mbps
mode or the 2 Mbps mode is disabled in the WSC.
On
All the active devices are running in 2 Mbps mode.
Flash off briefly
The host LEDs flash about every 8 seconds. The host is
determining whether a 1 Mbps device has recently been
connected. The indicator will not flash if all seven devices
are active and in 2 Mbps mode.
Notes:
1. If the host becomes inactive, the 2 Mbps mode LED is not valid until the
host becomes active again. In this circumstance, the LED can be left on
when the host is offline.
2. The Model 2EN does not support 2 Mbps mode and does not use the
2 Mbps mode LEDs. If the optional 2 Mbps upgrade kit is installed in the
2EN, the LEDs are used.
