Chapter 4 Monitor
This chapter describes all of the basic network statistics which includes the Ports, Layer 2 network protocol and any of the
switch settings are displayed for monitoring the status of the system.
System
After the login, the switch displays the system information. This page is default and displays the basic information of the
system, including “Model Name”, “System Description”, “Contact”, “Location”, “System Up Time”, “Firmware Version”,
“Host Mac Address”, “Device Port”. With this information, you will know the software version used, MAC address, serial
number, how many ports good and so on. This is helpful while troubleshooting problems.
Information
The system information is displayed here.
To display and configure the system information in the web interface:
Click Monitor / System / Information
Check the contact information for the system administrator as well as the name and location of the switch. Also
indicate the local time zone by configuring the appropriate offset.
Click Apply and click the Save icon in the upper right corner to see any changes.
System Information Parameters:
Items
Description
Model Name
Displays the factory defined model name for identification purposes.
System Description
Desplays the System Description.
Location
The system location as configured in Configuration / System / Information / System
Location is diplayed here.
Contact
The system contact information as configured in Configuration / System / Information /
System Contact is displayed here.
Platform Name
Displays the user-defined system name as configured in System / System Information /
Configuration / System Name.
