Compaq StorageWorks SSL2000 Series Library Maintenance and Service Guide

Disconnect the front panel cable (see Figure 5-17).

Disconnect the door opto sensor from connector J9 on the controller board.

Pull the door opto sensor cable through the cable cutout in the Library chassis.

To replace the front panel:

Push the door opto sensor cable through the cable cutout in the Library chassis.

Reconnect the front panel cable.

Reconnect the door opto sensor to connector J9 on the controller board.

Place the front panel on the front of the Library and then push it into place.

Tighten the six screws from inside the Library chassis (see Figure 5-16).

Removing and Replacing the Magazine Guide

To remove the magazine guide:

Remove the brace plate (see Figure 5-10).

Remove the upper drive mounting plate (see Figure 5-11).

Remove the tape drive(s) as described earlier in this chapter.
