Compaq StorageWorks SSL2000 Series Library Maintenance and Service Guide

Removing and Replacing the Door Solenoid

To remove the door solenoid:

Remove the magazine.

Remove the two screws that fasten the door solenoid to the bracket (see Figure 5-9).

Slide out the door solenoid to the power supply side.

Disconnect the door solenoid cable from connector J11 on the controller board, and then
remove the door solenoid.

To replace the door solenoid:

Position the new solenoid on the mounting bracket.

Tighten the two screws.

Reconnect the solenoid cable to connector J11 on the controller board.
