To Reserve Slots

From the Default screen, press the Enter

Enter

Enter button to display the Main menu.

From the Main menu, scroll down to the Configure menu and press the Enter

display the following Configure submenu:

Date and Time
Set Element Base

Scroll down to Library Options and press the Enter

Enter

Enter button.

Scroll down to Reserved Slots and press the Enter

Enter

Enter button. The following screen appears:

Configuration:

Baud Rate:
*38,400

Reserved Slots:

Scroll down to the last line and specify the number of slots you are reserving. Press the
Enter

Enter

Enter button to save.

NOTE:

If your software license limits the number of usable slots in the magazine, you must reserve the

remaining slots. You can use any of the reserved slots to store a cleaning cartridge (see Chapter 3,
“ Maintenance” ).

Press the Escape

Escape

Escape button repeatedly to return to the Default screen. Your choice takes effect

the next time the Library is rebooted.

Configuration Options

The following options are available in the Configuration menu.

SCSI Options

Library Parity:

Library Parity: Lets you enable or disable the library robotics SCSI bus parity checking. The
default is Library Parity Enabled.

Library Bus ID:

Library Bus ID: Lets you set the SCSI addresses of the library robotics. The default is 0.

Drive 0 Bus ID:

Drive 0 Bus ID: Lets you set the SCSI addresses of the drives. The designators Drive 0 through
Drive

refer to the first through

th drives, counting from the top unit in the Library system.
