ou
might
need
to

job-managemen

tasks
for
the

circumstances:
One
or
more
of
the
ph
ysical
prin
ters
asso
ciated
with
the
queue
are
unable
to
receiv
e
jobs
from
the
queue.
A
ph
ysical
prin
ter
might
not
curren
tly
b e
registered
with
the
sp o oler
con
taining
the
queue.
The
queue
is
paused
and
unable
to
send
jobs
to
a
ph
ysical
prin
ter.
Jobs
are
paused
or
are
held
for
resources.
Note:
Administrators
can
pause
jobs
with
the
pdpause
command,
whic
h
c
hanges
the
state
of
the
job
to
paused .
HPDPS
c
hanges
the
state
of
a
job
to
held
if
the
job
requires
resources
and
the
resources
are
either
not
ready
or
are
not
supp orted.
Users
can
also
submit
jobs
with
the
v
alue
of
the
job-hold
attribute
set
to
true ,
whic
h
also
causes
a
job
state
of
held .
In
these
cases,

ou
often

an
t
to
do
something
with
the
jobs
in
the
queue
that
are

aiting
to

sc
heduled.
Otherwise,
they
will
stay
in
the
queue
indenitely
.

manage
jobs
in
a

and

resubmit
some
of
the
jobs
to
another
queue.
