FRU Removal and Replacement 5-75

5.5.33

Main Power Switch Removal and Replacement (Model 400s)

Follow these steps to remove the main power switch:

1. Remove the top and side covers, all ISA and DIO boards, card cage, converter

board, and center wall.

2. Remove the LED ribbon cable clamp from the chassis.

3. Disconnect the main power switch cable from the motherboard. You may need

to maneuver it around the LED ribbon cable.

4. On the back of the power switch, pinch the two catches together. Pull the power

switch back out of the front plate and remove it, guiding its cable around the

sheet metal.

To replace die main power switch, follow these steps:

1. Insert the power switch into its slot in the front wall and snap the tabs into

place.

2. Route the main power switch cable to the motherboard through the notch in the

card cage. You may need to maneuver it around the LED board ribbon cable.

3. Connect the power switch cable to the motherboard.

4. Replace the LED cable clamp.

5. Replace all assemblies removed.
