Filling up the heating system, the
calorifier (if fitted) and hot water buffer
storage tank
Fill up the heating system with mains water. Here, the
country-specific standards and directives on “Corrosion
and boiler protection in heating and domestic water sys-
tems” must be observed. Remove all air from the system.
Monitor the water level and pressure on the hydrometer
and pressure gauge respectively.
7.3
Commissioning
Commissioning of the pellet heating boiler as part of a
newly installed system must be performed by an author-
ised professional. The installation inspection must be
completed before this. The system must be approved by
the heating engineer prior to commissioning.
NOTICE
To enable the room extraction system to be
checked, do not fill the storage room and the
pellet hopper before commissioning. Make
available approx. 150...200 kg of pellets in
sacks for commissioning.
Important note: The BioLyt unit may only be
put into operation by Hoval customer service.
Otherwise, all warranty claims will be void.
!
WARNING
When starting up the system for the first time,
the correct operation of all the safety and
control devices must be verified.
The operation and maintenance of the sys-
tem must be explained to the user in detail.
NOTICE
Information for the installer:
Obtain from the user written confirmation
that the operation and maintenance proce-
dures have been explained to him and that
he has received the corresponding operating
manuals (sample form see page 52). The ma-
nufacturer of the unit is responsible for pro-
viding operating instructions for the complete
system. These assembly instructions must
not be destroyed after completing the com-
missioning procedures, but should be perma-
nently stored with the unit (system manual).
NOTICE
When starting up the system for the first time,
increased CO emissions may occur as a re-
sult of varnish and other substances within
the boiler. No CO measurements should th-
erefore be conducted on the day of commis-
sioning.
7.4
Installation inspection
The following checks must be performed:
1. Safety valve installed (system sealed)?
2. Controls operative (energised)?
3. Sensors for the safety temperature limiter and boil-
er temperature controller are inside the immersion
sleeve?
4. System filled up with water?
5. Expansion tank connected?
6. Flue gas outlet with flue gas conduit connected to
flue gas system? Flue damper operative? Explosion
damper OK?
7. Thermal discharge safety device installed and cold
water supply available?
8. Heat consumption in the system ensured?
9. Combustion air supply available?
10. Are all motors and fans connected correctly (relay
test)?
11. Are all sensors and probes connected correctly?
