Setting/Operation
Hitching up / unhitching the
machine
Nobody is to remain between the tractor
and the machine when hitching up.
Hitching-up:
Depending on the design connect the machine
to the swinging drawbar, the trailer hitch ball
or the two-point adapter on the tractor.
When hitched to the two-point adapter lock
the tractor link arms to prevent them from
swinging.
Connect hydraulic pipes.
Connect the road lighting equipment and
check the function.
Lift the machine.
Fold the side sections in.
Insert aluminium clips in the centre section lift
cylinders and lower the machine onto these
clips.
Secure control units against unintended op-
eration.
In the case of hitching to the swinging drawbar
the hydraulic lines may need to be connected
first to correct the height of the drawbar.
Do not transport the machine in a posi-
tion higher than necessary.
With Terrano 10 or 12 FG and 8 FG with
extension mind the transport height,
especially when passing under bridges
and low hanging power lines.








Hydraulic system
Danger of infection!
The hydraulic system is
under high pressure. Hydraulic oil escaping un-
der pressure can penetrate the skin and cause
serious injuries. In the case of injury, consult a
doctor immediately.
Operation of the hydraulic system requires
utmost attention. Operating errors can cause
damage to man and machine.
Parking the machine
Due to the danger of tipping over and the heavy
weight the 10 and 12 FG must only be parked
on level and firm ground.
In this case lower the machine as far as possible
and rest it on the aluminium clips on the centre
section lift cylinders.
Folded up and lowered on hard ground
the tine points may break off.
Parking:
Park the machine on a firm and level sur-
face.
If possible park 10 and 12 FG with unfolded
inner wings.
Relieve the hydraulic system and disconnect
the couplings.
Unplug the lighting system.
Disconnect the towing connection.





