Clean the machine and prepare properly before parking it for an extended
period; see chapter
Care and Maintenance.
Ø Thoroughly clean hopper and fertiliser equipment. Fertiliser is aggressive and
speeds up the corrosion process. It especially attacks galvanised components
like bolts.
Ø
Clean all metering units.
Ø
Preferably park the drill in a shed so that no moisture can accumulate in hop-
per, metering units and the seed hoses.
Parking the machine
folded 1. Folding the machine in, see Folding in.
2. Position the machine at a suitable location and set the tractor brake.
3. Apply the parking brake (option).
4. Secure the machine with wheel chocks against rolling away. Position the
wheel chocks under the side of the tyres pointing to the downward slope.
5. Direct the bottom plate on the support downward. Secure the pin with the
cotter pin.
6. Crank down the support.
7. Unplug the brake lines, ISOBUS and lighting and hook in the bracket. Attach
the covering caps.
8. Depressurise the hydraulic lines and disconnect them.
9. Unhitch the machine.
Machines with drawbar eye:
• Adjust the height of the drawbar by cranking the support so that the machine
can be picked up.
• Engage the machine.
• Insert the bolts and secure them.
Machines with ball and socket coupling:
• Lower the drawbar or spherical cap onto the ball by cranking on the support.
• Position the hold-down.
• Check the gap between hold-down and spherical cap and adjust; see chapter
Maintenance overview .
Machines with tractor link arm:
• Release the securing device of the catching hooks.
• Lower the tractor link arm.
10. Drain the air reservoir of the pneumatic brake system (option).
11. Clean the metering units.
12. Close the hopper covers.
13. Store the terminal in dry conditions.
