Disc Levelers

The machine may be outfitted with a Disc Leveling system as an optional

rear finishing attachment.

Lower the rear Disc Leveling system using the hydraulic circuit of the

tractor.

HINT: The disc leveling system may be operated in a float position if

desired, or with the levelers all the way up. Adjust the levelers for the

desired field finish.

NOTE: Be sure to turn the selector valve on for hydraulic flow to the

disc levelers for operation.

Leveling Discs:

The Leveling Discs of the machine are located directly behind the rear rank of shank tines. These smooth

discs fill in, or close up, deep ruts and holes left behind from deep primary tillage. They work great for

breaking up clods of dirt and debris, leaving the ground level, minimizing ridges, while mixing the field

residue with the topsoil.

Maintenance:

There is little maintenance to the Leveling Disc assembly. Each leveler section support arm has a grease

fitting in the pivot pin that will require periodic lubing. There is also an oil filled bearing that may require

some maintenance or service. A bit of penetrating lubricant may be applied to the backside of the bearing

hub to lubricate the hub seal. The picture below will identify where to spray any type of sufficient

penetrating oil for lubricating the seal. Check the discs regularly for clearance, leaks, tightness, and

unrestricted rotation.
