Depth Setting
The depth of the machine is set by the rear transport tires and front hitch cylinder (1) . The positions of
the cylinders are controlled by the manual depth control linkage on the machine.
Setting:
1. Raise machine on rear axle.
2. For shallower working depth of the machine, turn the handle of the
manual depth control linkage clockwise to lift the machine.
3. For deeper working depth of the machine, turn the handle of the
manual depth control linkage counterclockwise to lower the
machine.
NOTE: Three (3) complete turns of the handle equals 1’’ of
depth adjustment to the trip shanks. Depth Gauge decal on
the manual depth control linkage is just a reference guide. The
decal ranges in letters from A-R. Each letter range is
approximately 0.5’’ in depth adjustment for a maximum
working depth of 10” on the shanks.
NOTE: The machine will also need to be leveled for proper
operation. The machine can be leveled by either adding or
removing depth stops to the front hitch cylinder. See further
information in ‘Leveling’ section noted below.
Operation:
1. Drive the tractor forward.
2. Lower the machine all the way down (1) . Hold the SVC to
pressurize the system.
3. Adjust the depth of the machine with the manual depth control and
front hitch depth stops to desired working depth.
4. Adjust machine, as necessary.
Leveling:
1. To raise the front of the machine, add front hitch cylinder stops.
2. To lower the front of the machine, remove front hitch cylinder stops.
Tracking:
The machine should not have much concern for proper tracking, however,
if necessary, the machine can be adjusted, much like that of a manual
control Joker, by adding/removing aluminum depth stops to the front hitch
cylinder.
1. If machine is tracking to the right, add more stops to the front hitch
cylinder.
2. If machine is tracking to the left, remove stops from the front hitch
cylinder.
NOTE: Add or remove stops until the machine tracks straight.
