When a '79' is received,
determination at the
protected premises will
be required to ascertain
the exact nature of the
restoral.
When a '70' is received,
determination at the
protected premises will
be required to ascertain
the exact nature of the
restoral.
Report codes beginning with '7' represent the restoral to normal of zone and/or
system power troubles. The former includes the restoral to normal of zone
supervision faults, as in the case of fire zones (restoral of the zone's integrity); or
intrusion "day" zones (restoral to normal of zones programmed for "trouble by day,
alarm by night"). The latter (power) troubles include the restoral of AC power, and
the restoral of the system's standby battery to its normal capacity.
The number following the '7' typically represents the physical zone in the
installation, designated '1' (Zone 1) through '0' (Zone 10), which has
experienced the
restoral (note that power problems are also represented, as
well; see NOTES 2 and 3, below). If any zone numbers greater than 10 exist in
the system, their numbers must be "mapped" into zone designations 01 through
10 during the installation. In this sample report:
3456 77
subscriber 3456 has transmitted a
restoral-to-normal of a previous trouble on
Zone 7 (or any zone mapped to '07' [e.g., 17, 27, 37]).
additional examples:
71 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 1
(or 11, 21, 31, etc)
72 = restoral-to normal of a trouble condition on Zone 2
(or 12, 22, 32, etc)
73 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 3
(or 13, 23, 33, etc)
74 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 4
(or 14, 24, 34, etc)
75 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 5
(or 15, 25, 35, etc)
76 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 6
(or 16, 26, 36, etc)
77 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 7
(or 17, 27, 37, etc)
78 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 8
(or 18, 28, 38, etc)
79 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 9
(or 19, 29, 39, etc.; or the restoral to normal of a
low standby battery; see
NOTE 2, below)
70 = restoral-to-normal of a trouble condition on Zone 10
(or 20, 30, 40, etc.; or the restoral-to-normal of
AC power; see NOTE 3, below)
NOTE 1: As indicated by the above listing, when mapping zones beyond the 10
specified here, the digit following the initial '7' will correspond to the last
(least significant) digit of the zone number being bypassed.
NOTE 2: While the receipt of '79' by the CP-220A can represent the restoral to
normal of a
supervisory trouble on Zone 9 (or any zone "mapped" to Zone
9), it can also represent the restoral to normal of a "low" standby battery
supporting the alarm panel. Thus, in this sample report:
3344 79
either Zone 9 (or another zone mapped to Zone 9) has experienced
the restoral-to-normal of a supervisory trouble;
or the capacity of the
standby battery supporting the alarm system has returned to normal.
NOTE 3: While the receipt of '70' by the CP-220A can represent the
restoral-to-normal of a
supervisory trouble on Zone 10 (or any zone
"mapped" to Zone 10), it can also represent the restoral-to-normal of
the
AC power supplied to the alarm panel; thus, in this sample report:
5566 70
either Zone 10 (or another zone mapped to Zone 10) has
experienced the restoral-to-normal of a supervisory trouble or the
system's
AC power, previously lost, has been restored.
