ADEMCO High Speed
(ADEMCO Superfast)
IMPORTANT!
The ADEMCO High Speed
format can be processed by the
CP-220A only if it has been set
up as an “ADEMCO Receiver”
in
PARAMETER 02
(see page 2-
76). This format cannot be
processed if the “RADIONICS
receiver” option has been
selected in the same parameter.
The ADEMCO High Speed
(Superfast) format carries
information not only about the
current event, but the current
status of all protective areas as
they're "mapped" into 8 channels.
Additional information is provided
in the text.
Many control panels can be programmed to send subscriber
data to the Central Station via a format known both as
ADEMCO High Speed
and
ADEMCO Superfast
. This
format is designed to provide not only data about
new
events that occur at a subscriber's premises, but also to
provide information about the current status of the rest the
protective zones in the system, through a technique that
uses a system of
channels.
In the
ADEMCO High Speed
format, information about eight such channels is
transmitted simultaneously, and will be displayed as such,
on the CP-220's display (and printed, if applicable).
In the
ADEMCO High Speed
format, Reporting Codes are
used to identify an event, but not the
channel
(or zone)
responsible for it. Instead, the
position
of the information, as
it appears on the display (and the printout, if used), identifies
the "alarmed"
channel
(or zone), and the codes themselves
also serve to identify the
status
of each
channel
(or zone).
Thus, in the reporting of this format, information about the
tripped
channel
(or
zone
) is accompanied by the current
status of up to 7 additional
channels
. Refer to the figure
below and its caption for additional information.

In the figure, the first 8 positions represent
channels
through
which alarm events on each of the system's zones are
reported. For security systems with 8 or less protective zones,
each zone can correspond directly to one of the
ADEMCO
High Speed
format's 8 channels, as indicated in this table:
