1. Check the communication between the maintenance PC and the unit.

Run the 

ping

 command to confirm that the maintenance PC can communicate with the unit.

$ ping 

IP-address-of-the-target-unit

2. Remotely log in to the unit from the maintenance PC.

Remotely log in to the unit as a user who can run the 

sudo

 command.

Example user name: 

edgeadm

login: edgeadm

3. Confirm that the OS operation mode is set to maintenance mode.

Run the 

showecmode

 command to confirm that the 

bold underlined parts

 are displayed as follows.
