Safety Instructions
WARNING:
(Warnings continued) Obey all warnings throughout the manual and also
the safety information below to help prevent injury and/or equipment
damage:
• Warning —Only authorized personnel should service The Vest®
Airway Clearance System. Servicing by unauthorized personnel
could cause personal injury or equipment damage.
NOTE:
If service is necessary, use this contact information:
– In the USA, call Hill-Rom at 800-426-4224.
– Outside of the USA, contact your distributor or local Hill-Rom
representative, or go to respiratorycare.hill-rom.com.
• Warning —The potential for electrical shock exists with electrical
equipment. Failure to follow protocols may cause death or
serious personal injury.
• Warning —If it is necessary to disconnect/isolate the device from
the main power supply, disconnect the power cord plug from the
power inlet socket on the back of the air pulse generator or
disconnect the plug from the power outlet in the wall.
• Warning —Make sure the position of the air pulse generator is
such that you can quickly, without obstruction, disconnect the
power cord from the main power supply if necessary.
• Warning —If the display on the Air Pulse Generator is faulty, do
not use the unit.
• Warning —Do not use The Vest® Airway Clearance System on a
conductive floor.
• Warning —Wait at least 2 to 4 hours after a meal before you use
The Vest® Airway Clearance System.
• Warning —If the Air Pulse Generator is wet or damp, do not plug
it into a power source or use it. Patient injury, personal injury, or
equipment damage could occur.
• Warning —Before cleaning, unplug the unit from its power
source. Failure to do so could cause personal injury or equipment
damage.
• Warning —Do not expose the unit to excessive moisture or
immerse it in water.
