Adjust the bed or stretcher to the proper height for coupling to the 
CarePorter™ Cart. 

Push the CarePorter™ Cart and bed or stretcher together until the latch and pin 
mechanisms engage and automatically couple.

Separating the CarePorter™ Cart from a Bed or Stretcher

WARNING:

Ensure that all equipment and attachment devices are oriented properly 
and secure before separating the CarePorter™ Cart from the 
bed/stretcher. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or 
equipment damage.

Pull each latch handle.

Separate the CarePorter™ Cart from the bed or stretcher.

Battery Pack

WARNING:

Replace the battery pack only with the manufacturer’s equipment 
supplied by Hill-Rom. Failure to do so could result in personal injury or 
equipment damage.

WARNING:

Do not discard the battery pack into a fire. The battery pack may 
explode, and possible personal injury or equipment damage could 
occur.

Do not discard a battery pack into a fire. Follow the manufacturer’s 
recommendations for disposing of the battery pack.
