How it functions
The device dehumidifies the air in the room. If the
device is switched on at the device switch on the
control panel, it will run in continuous operating
mode. The fan draws the humid room in air via the
air inlet opening. The air flows along the evaporator,
where it cools down. At the evaporator, the moisture
from the air accumulates in the form of condensate.
After the room air has been led past the evaporator,
it is heated in the condenser and transferred back
into the room at the air outlet as dried and heated
air. The dried, warm air can begin absorbing mois-
ture again in the room.
The condensate is collected in a tray under the
evaporator and led through the device’s internal
condensate hose to the condensate pump. The con-
densate pump is controlled by a float switch. When
the condensate in the condensate tank reaches the
float switch, the pump will start and convey the con-
densate into the drain or into the collecting vessel
below via the connected condensate drain hose.
The pump will stop as soon as the float switch is no
longer assigned.
Automatic de-icing
Ice forms on the evaporator after longer operating
time (in continuous operating mode). A temperature
sensor reports the frost temperature to the device
control system and automatic defrosting is started.
The evaporator is heated during the defrosting pro-
cess. Large amounts of condensate accumulate
during automatic defrosting. As soon as the evapo-
rator is free of ice, the device starts the dehumidify-
ing operation again.
NOTICE
The amount of ice
The amount of condensate and ice that arises will
depend very much on the ambient conditions (air
temperature and air humidity) in which it is used.
The air humidity in the room can be measured regu-
larly with a thermo-hygrometer in order to measure
the moisture extracted by the device.
Pumping out the condensate
The condensate must be drained completely before
transport or storage when the device is no longer in
use or if it is to be operated at a different location or
if it is to be shut down for a longer period of time. In
such a situation, the condensate pump can be start-
ed manually with the device switch.
Operation with a hygrostat
An external hygrostat (Heylo Art. No. 1110552) can
be connected to the device. The target humidity can
be set and regulated with a hygrostat. For this pur-
pose, the external hygrostat is connected to the
connection socket.
