Release the full-length expansion board retainer

Procedure

1. Power down the server.

2. Remove all power:

a. Disconnect each power cord from the power source.

b. Disconnect each power cord from the server.

3. Do one of the following:

•

Extend the server from the rack.

•

Remove the server from the rack.

4. Remove the access panel.

5. Remove the air baffle.

6. Release the full-length expansion board retainer.

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

Removing and replacing the rack rails

WARNING: To reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to the equipment, you must adequately support the
enclosure during installation and removal.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, be sure that you have the appropriate screwdriver for the screws in the rack.
