Install the D-Pin fasteners, installing them from front to back, see Figure 8-22.

Tighten D-Pin locknuts to 275-325 foot pounds torque and remove the cross tube
support.

17. Carefully clean the application area using a wire brush to remove loose paint and debris.

18. De-grease area with suitable de-greaser such as mineral spirits or brake cleaner. Ensure the

area is dry when done.

19. Install tamper resistant cap over fully tightened end cap bolt.
